I started working in the special event industry in my late teens. The profession requires a constant evolution of specialty skills. Consequently, I've learned to drive all kinds of vehicles, from forklifts to giant school busses. I have unloaded trucks in Grant Park, Chicago, and in Central Park, New York. I have been a tour guide, and a venue manager, and a talent wrangler. I have worked for Mayor's Office of Special Events, Ravenswood Event Services, Columbia College, Mike's Hard Lemonade, Nike, American Lung Association, Chicago and New York Marathons, to name a few... I love the immediate intimacy created by those who work behind the scenes of an event or a people gathering.
